James T. Hackett Chairman, President and CEO
|
Mr. Hackett was named President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company in December 2003, and Chairman of the Board of the Company in January 2006. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Hackett was the Chief Operating Officer of Devon Energy Corporation from April 2003 to December 2003, following Devon's merger with Ocean Energy, Inc. Mr. Hackett was President and Chief Executive Officer of Ocean Energy, Inc. from March 1999 to April 2003 and was Chairman of the Board from January 2000 to April 2003. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Seagull Energy Corporation from September 1998 until March 1999 and as Chairman of the Board from January 1999 to March 1999 prior to its merger with Ocean Energy. He currently serves as a Director of Fluor Corporation and Halliburton, and serves as Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

Robert P. Daniels Senior Vice President, Worldwide Exploration
|
Mr. Daniels joined Anadarko in 1985 and assumed his current position in August 2006. He was named Senior Vice President of Exploration and Production in May 2004 and Vice President of Canada in 2001. He has also held key positions within the exploration group, including Geologic Supervisor for Algeria and Manager of Geology for Algeria Exploration. He also served as Project Manager of the Ourhoud Development Project in Algeria and Manager of U.S. Onshore Exploration. Mr. Daniels holds a master of science degree in petroleum geology from the Colorado School of Mines and a bachelor's degree in economics from The Colorado College. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. Mr. Daniels serves on the Board of Directors of the Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation and Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas. He is a Trustee of the American Geological Institute Foundation.

Robert G. Gwin Senior Vice President

Mr. Gwin was named Senior Vice President in March 2008. He also serves as President, CEO and a director of Western Gas Holdings, LLC, a subsidiary of Anadarko, which is the general partner of Western Gas Partners, LP. He joined Anadarko in January 2006 as Vice President, Finance and Treasurer. Mr. Gwin brings to his position more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance and executive management, having served most recently as CEO of Community Broadband Ventures, LP and previously as Chairman, President and CEO of Prosoft Learning Corporation. Mr. Gwin spent 10 years at Prudential Capital Group in merchant banking roles of increasing responsibility, including serving as Managing Director with responsibility for the firm's energy investments worldwide and a $13 billion portfolio of debt, mezzanine and private equity investments at the time of his departure. He has a strong track record in structured finance and has worked on numerous debt and equity finance projects around the world. Mr. Gwin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute. He is a director of Storm Ventures International, a privately held energy company, and serves on the Board of Directors of Theatre Under the Stars. |
Karl F. Kurz Chief Operating Officer

Karl F. Kurz was named Chief Operating Officer in December 2006. Prior to this he served as Senior Vice President of North America Operations, Midstream and Marketing. He was named Senior Vice President of Marketing and General Manager of U.S. Onshore in May 2005 and in 2003 he served as Vice President of Marketing. He joined Anadarko as Manager of Energy Marketing in 2000. Mr. Kurz has been involved in the energy industry for more than 25 years. He began his career with ARCO Oil & Gas Company in 1983, and spent seven years in various upstream roles, with a focus on reservoir and production engineering. In 1990, he moved into ARCO Oil & Gas Company's Crude Oil Marketing Department. Mr. Kurz became Manager of Vastar Resources, Inc.'s Crude Oil and NGL Marketing Department in 1995, and was promoted to General Manager of Midstream and Marketing in 1998. Active in his community, Mr. Kurz is a member of Kingsland Baptist Church and is involved with CBS, a national interdenominational Bible study for teens and adults. He is also an Eagle Scout. Mr. Kurz holds a bachelor of science in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1983. He has previously served on the board of the Natural Gas Supply Association and currently serves on the board of the American Petroleum Institute and the Independent Petroleum Association of America. Mr. Kurz is a registered professional engineer in the State of Texas. |
Charles A. Meloy Senior Vice President, Worldwide Operations

Charles A. "Chuck" Meloy was named Senior Vice President, Worldwide Operations in December 2006. Most recently he served as Senior Vice President, Deepwater and International Operations. Before joining the company, he served as Vice President of Exploration and Production at Kerr-McGee Corporation, prior to its acquisition by Anadarko. At Kerr-McGee, Meloy was Vice President of Gulf of Mexico exploration, production and development from 2004 to 2005, Vice President and Managing Director of North Sea operations from 2002 to 2004, and held several other deepwater Gulf of Mexico management positions beginning in 1999. Earlier in his career, Mr. Meloy held various planning, operations, deepwater and reservoir engineering positions with Oryx Energy Company and its predecessor, Sun Oil Company. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Texas Professional Engineers.

Robert K. Reeves Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer

Robert K. Reeves was named Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer in January 2007. He joined Anadarko in March 2004 as Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Law and added the role of Chief Governance Officer in September 2004. Mr. Reeves has over 25 years of legal and management experience and is responsible for the company's legal, government relations, information technology and administration functions. As Chief Governance Officer, he is also responsible for the company's compliance with the corporate governance rules and regulations of the New York Stock Exchange, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Prior to joining Anadarko, he served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Ocean Energy, Inc., from 1997 - 2003. He served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Flores & Rucks, Inc., a predecessor to Ocean Energy, from 1993 - 1997. Prior to that, he was a Partner in the Energy Section of Onebane Law Firm of Lafayette, Louisiana from 1982 - 1993. Mr. Reeves holds a J.D. and bachelor's in business administration from Louisiana State University. He is a member of the Texas and Louisiana State Bar Associations, the American Bar Association and the American Corporate Counsel Association. Mr. Reeves serves on the Board of Directors of Key Energy Services., Inc, St. Luke's Community Medical Center in The Woodlands and Family Services of Greater Houston.

R. A. Walker Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Walker serves the company as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. He joined Anadarko in 2005, and is responsible for Accounting, Financial Reporting and Tax; Treasury, Corporate Finance and Risk Management; Investor Relations and Communications; Corporate Development; Corporate Planning; and Corporate Audit. Prior to joining Anadarko, he served as managing director for the Global Energy Group of UBS Investment Bank. Previously he was President, CFO and a director of 3TEC Energy Corporation until its sale to Plains Exploration and Production Company. He joined 3TEC after holding a variety of merchant banking positions of increasing responsibility at Prudential Capital Group, where he was senior managing director and co-head at the time of his departure. Earlier in his career, Mr. Walker worked in commercial banking and for an independent oil and gas company. Mr. Walker holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Tulsa. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors for Western Gas Partners, LP, and serves on the Board of Trustees for the United Way of Greater Houston and the Houston Museum of Natural Science, where he is currently the treasurer for the museum.
